The White Papers
The first record by The White Papers was released in November of 2000. The self-titled, six-song EP was a solo vehicle
for Lance Scott Walker (Bull Thieves, ex-Jessica Six and Port Vale), but also a heavy collaboration with DJ/producer Jeffrey McLaughlin in
their home base of Houston. The White Papers has continued through the years, with various live lineups covering plenty of live shows scattered across the
US and Europe. Walker has been based in Brooklyn since 2006.
Bonfire On West Beach is the first record by The White Papers in 12 years, and the first full-length. This one is set in early 19th century Galveston
and again features McLaughlin, along with Brandon Davis
(Indian Jewelry, Electric Set) on guitar, Oren Bloedow (Elysian Fields, 101 Crustaceans) on bass and contributions from Task (Bull Thieves, BirdLikeBats),
Ed Pastorini (101 Crustaceans), Jeanann Dara (Smoke & Flowers) and Joan Hiller on guest vocals.

Collaboration between songwriter Lance Scott Walker (Bull Thieves) and
Jeffrey McLaughlin from late 2000. Six minimalist pop songs rooted in ambient territory. Recorded
by Scott Garred (Super XX Man, Silver Scooter) at
Albert Hall in Austin, Texas and mastered by John Golden. Music from The White Papers was used
in the MMA travel journal "Tokyo Days" by E. Casey Leydon.
